+ Places that Call to my Wanderlust +

Day 5 of the Writing Challenge: List 5 places you would like to travel. This isn't going to be in any particular order.

Ireland. I've wanted to visit Ireland since finding out I have Irish in me. I've seen pictures of gorgeous landscapes and architecture. I like the idea of seeing new places that I could never imagine. Also, those accents... And I know Nana always really wanted to go and she never got to. Maybe I can see it enough for the both of us...

Italy (I'm counting Vatican City as Italy for the list purposes). There's so much in Italy I want to see. Pompeii. Vatican city and all the amazing art and sculptures. I want to see the place in Italy my family comes from. I want to get lost in Italy and just enjoy the scenery and history.

Egypt. I want to see the pyramids. I want to see the sphinx. I want to see the ancient wonders that the Sands of time haven't been able to destroy. I want to see the Cairo museum. I want to wander around and see whatever there is to see.

England. The accents here are also pretty dreamy. I want to go to the museums, do the silly touristy things, and whatever else looks interesting. I want to meet new people.

Japan. I'm not as sure why I've always wanted to go here. I guess because my mom always described the ocean off Japan as being beautiful.

+ Wanderlust +

This is essentially what has been eating away at my consciousness for years now.

I yearn to travel.

I want to be able to spend endless hours getting lost in a forest where I can hear nothing but the wilderness.

The calling that is always scratching away at my consciousness while I stare hopelessly out the windows. The world trying to tame me.

But tame me, it does not. Instead I wait and hope. I dream of the green, green trees. The smell of rain lurking in the distance. The chirping of birds that know exactly where it is I am destined to go. Yet giving not a hint, to me.

What I would not give to not know where I am going. To let my destination matter not. While I wander the world with no main goal in mind.

Perhaps I was born in the wrong time period. Maybe born too late. Dreaming of things no longer common. Yearning for things that imply insanity.
