+ 30 Day Book Challenge: Day 4 +

The Favorite Book of your Favorite Series

I like all the books for different reasons. The first one because it introduces the whole story - but Seeing Redd, the second novel, might be my favorite because that's where you really learn about Hatter Madigan. You get glimpses into what he's been doing for the last 12 or so years. You discover he was searching for Alyss and had put his whole life on hold to search for Alyss.  You learn of the relationship between Homburg Molly and Hatter. You learn about Hatter's wife who was killed. You learn about the weapons the two use and their skills as fighters/protectors.

It had a lot of characterization. You learn more about the politics of Wonderland. You learn about the "evil characters" and the players. You get to know Redd and see the dynamic of how she sees the world and who she allies with. It's just interesting.

+ Wanderlust +

This is essentially what has been eating away at my consciousness for years now.

I yearn to travel.

I want to be able to spend endless hours getting lost in a forest where I can hear nothing but the wilderness.

The calling that is always scratching away at my consciousness while I stare hopelessly out the windows. The world trying to tame me.

But tame me, it does not. Instead I wait and hope. I dream of the green, green trees. The smell of rain lurking in the distance. The chirping of birds that know exactly where it is I am destined to go. Yet giving not a hint, to me.

What I would not give to not know where I am going. To let my destination matter not. While I wander the world with no main goal in mind.

Perhaps I was born in the wrong time period. Maybe born too late. Dreaming of things no longer common. Yearning for things that imply insanity.
