+ I'll Own It +

Day 27: Conversely, write about something that's kicking ass right now.

My fitness goals are kicking ass right now quite frankly. I'm 10 lbs for goal number 2, which was my high school weight.

I've just managed to really stick with getting healthier and I'm actually super proud of myself because I didn't think I would be as into it as I am. I am kicking myself I didn't start sooner. To be fair, though, I had to hit my rock bottom to get into the right mindset to really own this choice.

I will say that I'm having a blast doing it. I do the treadmill for a while and then use weight machines - chess press, abdominals, glute press, etc. I try to work out every part of my body that I can based on the machines available. It's all self-taught so it might not be a perfect system, but it's been working. I probably should use a trainer at least once... but eh... I don't like people around when I'm working out.

I like it to be a time to reflect on myself and be in my own world. Also, I text friends while I'm working out because why not? It makes it so it's not a totally isolating event, but also I am by myself. Yay, juxtapositions!
