+ I'm Doing That Thing Where I'm Weird Again +

Me having a kindle is such a bad idea. Anyone looking at the list of books I'm in the process of ordering would have to believe I am drunk - ignore the fact that it's 2:51am - the random array is just ridiculous. I even half believe I must be drunk, despite the fact I definitely haven't had alcohol in quite some time.

Is there any logical reason I need the Origin of Species, Federalist Papers, the Book of Mormon, the Quran, Essence of Buddism, Ladies' Book of Ettique from like the 1800s, Mythology from around the world, the book of religious compromising, etc.? Probably not.

Did I buy them just because they were free and the kindle produces an unlikely, but strong impulse that one day I might just be bored/enlightened enough to read them? Yeah, basically.  I've spent literally an hour searching random books on amazon to buy just because they were free. I'm fifty books in and I have little belief I will ever read about 80% of the ones I just bought.

However, I do like the possibility of being enlightened. Seriously, do you have any idea how many classics I have on my kindle? Yeah, I don't know either, but there's quite a few. Take my word on it. Mostly because I am a literature fanatic - it makes sense. Yet the chances of me reading every book ever written (as is my dream - except there are just so many terrible/boring/uninteresting books) is an impossibility.
