+ 30 Day Book Challenge: Day 21 +

Favorite Book from your Childhood

Grimms Fairy Tales would probably have to be my favorite. I loved all the stories in the collection and that the endings weren't always perfect, like life. I was most fond of these stories probably because they were read to me a lot - mostly at my own request.

My favorites were: The Frog Prince, The Elves, The Glass Coffin, Rapunzel, Rumplestiltskin, Snow-White and Rose-Red, The Worn-Out Dancing Shoes, The Spirit in the Glass Bottle, and The Riddle. Mostly I just really liked being read to as a kid, until I could read on my own. Which actually started pretty early. I was reading before I entered Kindergarten. The Mom insisted on using Hooked on Phonics and made both Ajax and myself practice. Which probably made me read as early as I did, but I still got frustrated with that because I was advanced.

I was always an advanced reader. It made school a little frustrating at times. I'm a dummy at Math, though so it probably evened itself out.
