I love what a walking contradiction I am. From the shoulders up I'm a total girl. Straight, long hair, makeup carefully applied, white teeth, shiny lips, blue eyes starring out from under mascara'd lashes.
And then you get to my shirts which are usually stamped with a Triforce, Ninja Turtles, Web Comic/Game references, Sailor Moon, Alice in Wonderland, etc. Yeah, I'm cool. Usually also adorned with the Evenstar from Lord of the Rings. See?
It's not really capable of matching. The stereotypes clash ridiculously. Usually girls that wear makeup and have good hair aren't the kind to be gamers. Not all, there are a number of girls like me as well (But, admit it, we're far and few inbetween). Typically the female gamers are the incarnate of Marigold. Don't get me wrong, I love the character of Marigold, but it's kind of the truth. Usually female gamers are much more likely to not glam up, ever. Unless there's a ComiCon coming up...
Just something I was noticing earlier today while I was washing my face and putting on makeup - with the retro 90s Ninja Turtles starring up from my chest in the mirror...
