+ 3 Pet Peeves +

Day 3 of the writing challenge: Your Top 3 Pet Peeves.

Wrong word usage or incorrect grammar. More specifically: "I seen", "Irregardless", etc. The commonly misused ones that people don't realize are wrong and make you sound so unintelligent. I think it stems from family members using them all the time and a guy I dated once used them a lot. It was painful to handle. I'm kind of a snob about somethings. However, I'm an English major and I work in classrooms, can you blame me?

Lying. I feel like this one kind of goes without saying. I just don't like being led on, given wrong information, or feel used by being played. I also feel like I get lied to an inordinate amount- students, family, coworkers, the guys I've dated. Just across the board I get lied to often. Luckily I usually catch it, but obviously not all the time.

Loud chewing, smacking, or other unnecessary mouth sounds. It's distracting and makes it hard for other people to think or concentrate. It's gross - the sound and the act because often people are spitting or expelling food particles. I find it unsavory.
