+ A Fly-Fisherman's Dream +

I have always loved being lost in a lush, green forest complete with a snaking, blue river. The emerald leaves quaking in the wind, the branches reach for the sky. The birds singing happily and the scent of mud and clay teasing your senses.

There is something serene about staring out over a river trees scattering your view while waiting for a fish to rise. A rod resting in your fingers ready to let a line float upon a surface to fish that perfect riffle. As the hatch begins and you're in the middle of a feeding frenzy catching fish with gasping mouths that you immediately release to swim away to be caught by the next fly-fisherman. That fish is more valuable alive than eaten and in that moment you're a part of the Earth in a way that can't be expressed...you must live it.

Your favorite view so far this Summer.

This view is of the Firehole in the West Entrance of Yellowstone. I've always been pretty obsessed with rivers and forests. They always make me happy and at peace unlike anything else.
