+ Thunderbirds +

Okay, Seattle just got a little bit more win for me. I'm not even going to lie. Antigone's friend scored us some free tickets to the Spokane Chiefs game vs Seattle Thunderbirds. Incidentally I was obligated to root for the Chiefs because it's Spokane which is apparently more badass than Seattle because it's closer to us? I don't really know the reason, but it was apparently an obligation.

Anywho we scored amazing seats, fourth row middle of the rink. Seriously? Amazing! And as it was the seat I was in was giving me a much better view of the Thunderbirds so I actually got to see them warmup and see their names and get more familiar with the particular people and what they could do. They just won me over real fast, because I had a better view of them. Besides that, they are awesome players and make for intense games. All I was really looking for was seeing a good fight, because that is the big reason to see a hockey game, no? As it turns out, The Thunderbirds have way more interesting players. And Seattle Thunderbirds, you have a new fan. :D

I was even giving random players nicknames throughout the game. Example number 26 Muth, on first glance all I saw was the M and Th. What did my mind make sense of that? Meth, therefore I called him Meth the entire night. Also number 9 Rai, I nicknamed Raj.

I'm totally going to have a fangirl moment of the players who I particularly like. I definitely might be in love with Number 23 Chance Lund, because he was a total brawler at the game. He was totally rockin' and definitely good lookin' (Yeah, we were close enough to actually see people's faces even when adorned in their masks). Not to mention everytime he got on the ice he kept things tough, as well as not taking crap from the other team. He'd bodyslam people back into the glass back. He got a penalty box. Number 16 Brendan Rouse was pretty cool, I definitely was cheerin' him on, also. He kept things interesting. Number 27 Erik Fleming was cheer worthy, I was glad when he randomly appeared and showed the Chiefs whatfor. Number 28 Jonathan Parker was amazing as he was one of the few that didn't take shit, someone would get in his way and he'd run and bodyslam them back. Number 14 Charles Wells was rockin' at stealing the puck back and kept from letting the Chiefs steal it back. Number 26 Tanner Muth was a pretty fast and agile skater and had a way of keeping the puck, he just was awesome. Number 20 Luke Lockhart just caught my attention a lot because his name made me smile, but he didn't disappoint in game performance. Number 3 Scott Ramsey was rockin' 'cause Antigone kept singing about Ramsey, except I was very sad because he kept takin' hits up the tailpipe. He didn't really fight back, but he was quick on his feet, so he has that goin' for him. Number 5 Brenden Dillion was meh, but he was almost always on the ice and I liked seeing the familiar ones on the ice that I remembered. Though, no one quite took hits like Number 15 Mikhail Sentyurin, he just kept taking hits and didn't even try to fight back, it was kind of disappointing. Number 19 Colin Jacobs was notable just because he was always where Number 18 Lindsay Nielson was on the ice and they seemed to work well as a team.

Yeah, basically during the entire game I was looking for one of the above mentioned guys to be playing. Though, granted, if Lund was anywhere on the ice I was watching him cause he was rockin'.

It should be noted that I am not super intense when watching sports because I don't enjoy it much. Typically I will only watch Yankee games, with occasional Giants, 49ers, and MAYBE a Cowboy game. Yes, I did jump from baseball to football, deal bitches. However, I am pretty much whatev, about all sports... until it comes to hockey. I can get a bit intense. Apparently I got hardcore amusing because I kept wanting a fight. Every single time it looked like one would start, but then the stupid refs would cut it off at neck before a decent punch was thrown. It was obnoxious. I pretty much was trying to talk all my favorite Thunderbirds into not taking crap and fighting back, sadly not many did. Like I said Parker defended himself and so did Lund. I was all about those boys.

Definitely an enjoyable game, despite pissing off everyone around me because I was cheering Seattle on. But you know what? SEATTLE WON. 3-2, bitches! What now? The Seattle Thunderbird boys are more badass and sexier. Win.
